Welcome to SCPrimer, a tool for degenerate primer design.This web application allows design of degenerate primers from multiple alignments in fasta or clustalw format. The algorithm attempts to minimize the number of primers needed to amplify all sequences in the alignment with a greedy heuristic for the set cover problem.The web application requires a simple registration, after which the user will be able to store their results and monitor progress of design jobs. A guest account is also provided for those who want to try the system without registration. Login with "guest", and use the password "guest".
